J. L. Moller
Their Story:
In 1944, Niels Otto Moller began his cabinetry company where old craft traditions are still used today. Scandinavian cord seats known for their durability, easily withstand decades of frequent use. Made of tightly twisted paper, the woven material is pleasantly comfortable to sit on. Even better, its natural texture only gets better with age. The seat is woven by hand from one continuous 425-foot-long piece of cord. At the Moller factory machines are never used for the final polish and a proud tradition of "production without assembly lines" is still thriving today.
Their Mission:
The elemental strength of J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik, is its proud tradition of dignified, high quality craftsmanship. Quality is never compromised - anything second-best has to go, because only the very best is good enough! This principle rings true for each and every step of the process, from the selection of the raw wood to the finished item of furniture. Their furniture is assembled at their own factory, where craftsmen are trained in the "cabinetmaker's art." This way ensures the continuity of the high quality which is consistently their ultimate goal.
Vision:
Moller furniture is not built on an assembly line. They only create furniture in which manufacturing, materials and design are of outstanding quality. With Moller furniture, timeless design meets unrivaled quality. They desire to be the furniture manufacturer with the best craftsmanship and uncompromising quality.
