Skovby SM 78 Dining Table

The new patent pending table SM78. The design of this table is inspired by the very first eight-legged Skovby table. The tabletop is elliptical and the legs are half-elliptical. This gives the table a harmonious and very light expression.

The legs have a slightly sloping angle in relation to each other creating a small gap at the top – a new design, which also has a practical function. A special fitting on the outer legs makes it possible to adjust the legs in case they are affected by changes in air humidity. This solution is practical especially on solid tables that are more likely to expand and contract when exposed to fluctuations in air humidity and temperature.

The table is supplied with two extension leaves that are stored in a compartment underneath the tabletop. Two additional extension leaves are available for purchase. The table will seat 14 people when fully extended.
